The President Sends His Greetings to the Nobles and Their Ladies

     2011 is almost over and 2012 is just around the corner. I would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your support this year. We have had some good success this year and I hope it continues throughout 2012. The upcoming officers need your support. This club has great potential; however the club cannot do it alone. THE MEMBERS HAVE TO COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE CLUB.

    To the Ladies; thanks for the great job you did in the kitchen. The kitchen was open just about every Friday night and to all the units who came out and supported Steak night, I thank you. You certainly made a big difference. Thanks to you all and Congratulations to the upcoming officers I wish you well.

On Friday December 16, 2011 Dorchester Shrine Club had their annual Yankee Swap.

Great a time was had by all who attended. Thanks to the several members of the Directors Staff

and their Ladies who came to share the evening with their fraternal family.

 It was good to see them enjoying their Club.

Those of you who did not attend missed a GREAT

night with many laughs and good hearted fun. It is one of my most sincere wishes that many more members of the Club would start coming out to enjoy and support the Club that they have helped build and maintain.  

On Friday January 27, 2012 will be our installation of officers for the

year 2012. Cocktails will be from 6:00PM till 7:00PM. Dinner will be at

7:15PM. It is only $10.00 per person. Don’t want to eat?  Then, don’t pay for the meal, just tell Noble Bill or Lady Marcia that you are coming but don’t plan on eating.  I know many of the Units

have had their own installation dinners, but even if you have or maybe you just

don’t want dinner, please come out anyway, and support your old and new club officers.

Reservations are a must for the Installation Dinner, even if you don’t want a wonderful meal.

What’s Happening In and Around DSC

NOTE:  Sources for these announcements can be from any current member but are limited to the announcement of Shrine events that concern the general membership and, as has been the standard procedure for many years, prior to publication, all content will be subjected to the approval and editing by the DSC Officers or their duly authorized representatives.

DSC Shriner of the 4^th Quarter:   Noble Roy Knight has been selected as the DSC Shriner of the Quarter for the 4^th quarter of 2011.  He was nominated for his hard work and the use of his equipment to clear the debris around the front of the property and the excavation of the septic tank for repairs.

A Valentine Dance is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2012 (pending approval of Omar). Mikey Thomason (your 2012 2^nd vice) and Joe Price (your 2012 1^st vice) are having their first scheduled event, a Valentine Dance with a real band and much more. Details will follow. Mark your calendars and reserve this night, in your schedule for a very nice evening where you can display some of that love and affection that you have for your SPECIAL ONE!!!

Special Membership DSC Improvement Project:  Our Club needs volunteers with carpentry, cabinet-making or wood-working skills (you don’t have to be a Master Cabinet Maker, just have the ability to drive a nail or cut a straight line).  They are needed to help repair or rebuild the Martin bird house behind the main clubhouse building. Please call Jimmy Droze at 843-873-0253 or leave a message at the club at 843-871-6755 if you are interested in helping with this project.
